Mini Dental Implants

But if you are a suitable candidate for minis, it may be possible to insert a number of implants into your jaw bone and modify your denture to attach to them with o-rings – or it may be preferable to have new dentures made for the purpose.

Inserting a conventional dental implant is a complex procedure that requires several treatment sessions to complete, as the implant needs time to integrate with the bone of the jaw before the prosthetic tooth can be put in place. But the mini implant procedure can sometimes be completed in a single visit lasting an hour or two.

MDIs may also be cheaper to have fitted than conventional dental implants. The cost may vary between practitioners, and will also depend on your specific needs. So it is worth discussing the full implications of the cost of this treatment with your dentist, to find the solution that is right for you.
